The location for our retreat, is the beautiful Valldaura estate in Collserola National Park, near Barcelona, Spain. Set here is the stunning villa where we will stay for the duration of the retreat, whilst on the surrounding estate there are several sustainability projects you can learn more about during your visit. As an example you could learn how to make your own Spirulina at home!

We've made the retreat a long weekend, because we know, as much as our health is important, it is also difficult to find the time to dedicate to it, and sometimes a week-long holiday just isn't an option. This peaceful setting offers an opportunity to reconnect with nature whether it be exploring the area on hikes or trail runs, volunteering in the estate's sustainability projects, or simply admiring the breath taking views. Using this alongside your daily yoga and meditation practice, we hope that during your 4 days at the villa, we can reboot your health regime, and give you a renewed attitude to your yogic lifestyle that you can take home. During the day there will be a silent meditation room available at all times to find some zen, or if you would like a dose of culture, it's only a short journey to Barcelona City Centre. We will also provide a healthy, nourishing full board menu prepared and served with love by Wild & Rayburn.

Daily Schedule

8.15am Optional 15 minute meditation
8.30 90 minute Dynamic Vinyasa class based on the element specific to that day (working closely to the chakra and anatomy linked to that element)
10.00am Breakfast

During the day, there will be an organised optional workshops on-site, either learning more about the sustainability projects currently ongoing at Valldaura, helping in the on-site gardens or taking part in a group hike or trail run around the National Park.

Alternatively you can spend the day time as you wish, around the villa and grounds of Valldaura, where there are some beautiful views and walks. We can advise on activities nearby, if you have any questions, please contact us.

1.30pm Lunch

6.00pm 90 minute Yin yoga with pranayama and/or mediation relating to the element and anatomy worked in the morning session.

8.30pm Dinner

From a degree in physics to training and working as an actress in London, teaching yoga full time has given Katarina a new lease of life and she has not looked back.  Discovering the dynamic practice of Rocket yoga, Katarina was hooked. For the last 3 years, she has made an annual trip to India to deepen her own practice and to continue her training.  She has trained in many styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Rocket, Yin and most recently Mandala vinyasa working closing with Shamanic traditions and philosophies.  Katarina laces her classes with chakra and elemental theories giving the practitioner the opportunity to take their practice beyond just the physical.

Katarina has partnered with best friend Mim McCulloch aka Wild Thyme Food to create Wild & Rayburn, their mission is to give the ever expanding yogi community holistic rejuvenation through exciting, authentic yoga and beautiful plant based food.

Mim McCulloch of Wild & Rayburn will be your in house chef for the week. Mim established boutique veggie and vegan healthy catering company Wild Thyme Food in 2015. Her love of food started young whilst she was stood on a chair in her mum and dad’s kitchen pretending she was hosting a cookery program! Her grandma is her inspiration for Wild Thyme Food, she was making her own muesli in the 60's before anyone knew what museli was! Mim decided to set up Wild Thyme Food as she is at her happiest in the kitchen and wanted to conjure up feasts that make people smile. She is now delighted to have partnered with Katarina Rayburn to create unique yoga and food experiences for yogis across the world!
